Backup & Disaster Recovery
A backup only counts if it restores. We design, monitor and test backup and recovery for servers, Microsoft 365 and endpoints — so a bad day stays a short one.
Tested. Monitored. Recoverable.
Techist designs and runs backup and disaster recovery for Australian businesses — covering servers, Microsoft 365, endpoints and critical workloads with combined local and cloud strategies.
Plenty of businesses discover at the worst moment that their backups were silently failing or never covered the right data. We monitor every job, test restores and document recovery procedures — so recovery is a process, not a hope.
Not "set and forget"
Backup jobs are monitored daily and restore-tested — failures get fixed before they matter.
Layered strategy
Local and cloud copies, with replication for critical workloads, sized to your recovery objectives.
Documented recovery
DR plans and recovery documentation mean anyone on the team can execute under pressure.

Backup & DR questions
Doesn't Microsoft back up our Microsoft 365 data?
Microsoft provides resilience for its own infrastructure, but limited protection against your data being deleted, corrupted or encrypted by ransomware. Independent Microsoft 365 backup — covering mail, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams — fills that gap, and it's part of our standard recommendation.
How do we know our backups actually work?
Because we test them. Techist monitors backup jobs daily and performs restore testing on a schedule, so you have evidence — not assumptions — that your data is recoverable.
What's the difference between backup and disaster recovery?
Backup is the copy of your data; disaster recovery is the plan and infrastructure to get your business running again — covering recovery time objectives, replication for critical systems, and documented procedures. We design both together.
Would your backups survive a bad day?
Ask for a backup and recovery review — we'll check coverage, test a restore and show you the gaps.
